Russia/Finland/Baltic States-Tour 2005 / ENGLISH VERSION

03/23

We get up at 11 o´clock this morning and some food was prepared for us. Everybody takes a quick bodywash and a last walk to the toilet because the public-toilet-situation is kind of horrible there. Now we were ready to take the METRO and drove to the railway-station. There we met a friend of Andrey called Mischa. He regulated the ticketservice and we could drive to rjazan ( 300 km away ) as a group of 8 person for 2 Euro - all inclusive! With us on the way was two guys more - Dasha and Ilja and surprised Dasha could speak some German words. Inside the train it was very funny and kind of bazzare. You could buy candy, pans, tablecloths, lighters, batteries and much more. Sometimes a musician came around and brought good mood to the people. So the ride was never boring and the 4 hours passed like minutes. Only the hard benches trod our asses, autsch!
Some friends of Mischa waited for us in Rjazan to take us to the club. There we had to wait, a cinemashow was running and the room was the place for the gig tonight. Maybe 100 guys came to see the show. We had to give some interviews for the local TV-channel and the press before and after. Often we had to answer this question: “Are you skinheads?" and "if yes, do you stand on the left or right side".. Why this question we ask? Maybe there is still a typical picture of german-nazi-shit in their heads! And yes, we can understand. We gave our best to answer the question and to describe the situation in Germany. We told them that we are not skinheads. The concert was good. Some guys had a lot of fun. The way to our sleeping place was very funny. We had to walk about one hour. All of us was thinking - F##K!!! After a half hour we all got tired from the heavy equipment. We ordered 3 taxies at a supermarket that brought us to the flat of Stas´s (a young guy, who hung around with us) grandma.
We heard many things about Russian hospitality but that wasn`t yet all. It was 2 a.m. in the morning and grandma Valentina has just cooked the national dish for us all. Our sleeping accomodations are very comfortable. By the way, 100 points from us and thanx for all!!!
